Because the coaching profession is largely unregulated, it is vital you do your research about a potential coach. Many “coaches” may have good intentions or simply desire to give advice and will call themselves coaches.
Good intentions are not a substitute for professional skills and the supervised experience a certification provides.
When selecting a Coach:

How does coaching work?
The client comes to the consultation session with a goal, an idea or a deeper questioning about their life.
Through questions or active coaching, the coach and the client assess their compatibility. If there is a mutual fit, the coach will send the client a proposal and the coaching relationship can begin.
They will typically meet twice , up to four times a month, depending on session length and availability.
